Likud Lawmaker Tali Gottlieb Nears Move to Ben Gvir's Party
Negotiations between Knesset member Tali Gottlieb and Otzma Yehudit party leader, Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, are in advanced stages, according to a report by Channel 12 correspondent Daphna Liel. Ben Gvir is reportedly willing to bring Gottlieb into his party, but only after she officially leaves or resigns from the Likud party.
Political circles anticipate the move is close to completion and could benefit the entire right-wing bloc. Such a move would allow Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party to appeal to more moderate voters. In return, Ben Gvir would offer Gottlieb a significant position on the Otzma Yehudit slate, strengthening the party's support base on the far-right.
