Tali Gottlieb Denies Netanyahu Wants to Sideline Her from Likud Leadership
Knesset member Tali Gottlieb strongly rejected reports claiming that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to push her out of the top ranks of the Likud party through the use of reserved slots on the party list. Speaking on Saturday night, Gottlieb described these reports as a "fake campaign" orchestrated by left-wing media to harm her and the right-wing faction within Likud.
Gottlieb accused left-wing media of deliberately trying to create internal tension within Likud by spreading false claims that Netanyahu wants to marginalize her and other right-wing Knesset members. She emphasized that Netanyahu has not abandoned her or the right-wing members and that the reserved slots would not affect her position, especially given her strong polling support.
In a tweet, Gottlieb stated, "If the left does not want me, that is a sign I am on the right path," and called on voters not to believe these reports. She reiterated her loyalty to both Likud and Netanyahu, asserting that the left-wing media's goal is to weaken their camp by sowing discord.
The controversy arose over speculation that Netanyahu might expand the number of reserved slots on the Likud list to sideline right-wing members like Gottlieb. However, she firmly denied any conflict with Netanyahu and dismissed the rumors as attempts by left-wing media to undermine her and the party's unity ahead of upcoming elections.
