Likud MK Tali Gottlieb Open to Offer from Otzma Yehudit Party

Member of Knesset Tali Gottlieb stated on Tuesday that she would "very much welcome a concrete, good offer from Otzma Yehudit and would consider it seriously." This statement comes after sources close to National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who heads Otzma Yehudit, indicated he would be willing to reserve a spot for Gottlieb in his party, provided she reached an agreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Gottlieb, currently placed at number 20 on the Likud party list, explained her willingness to consider other offers by stating she owes it to her voters to "seriously consider a concrete offer that will bring out my abilities." She added that the Prime Minister is not obligated to her and is unlikely to appoint her as Justice Minister or to any other significant role.

The MK claims she is a victim of "targeted elimination" within Likud, attributing her low placement on the party list to Netanyahu's reserved spots. Gottlieb had previously appealed to Netanyahu to restore her to the 12th position, her original ranking before the reserved spots were added. She believes that if she is not returned to the 12th spot, it signifies not only her marginalization within Likud but also an effort to silence her core messages.

Despite these grievances, Gottlieb emphasized her "loyalty to Likud and to the Prime Minister."
