Car Plunges Into Store After Truck Collision in Kiryat Gat, Three Injured

Three people sustained minor to moderate injuries Tuesday in Kiryat Gat when a truck collided with a private car, pushing it into a storefront. The incident occurred on HaDrom Road when the truck struck the car, which then crashed through the window of a shop. Two women inside the store suffered light injuries and were evacuated to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon. The truck driver was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.

Magen David Adom paramedics arriving at the scene described the accident as unusual, with the car lodged inside the building amidst shattered glass. "We scanned the store and miraculously there were only two women inside who were lightly injured," said paramedics Meir Aviv and Stav Botbol. "This incident could have ended in tragedy."

Eyewitnesses reported that the truck driver lost control before hitting the private car and propelling it into the store. A resident whose sister was in the shop at the time described the frightening moments, stating, "My sister was miraculously saved. Thank God. It's really scary, a second of inattention."

Police have opened a criminal investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
