Police Commissioner Escorts Fallen Officer's Daughter on First Day of School

Police Commissioner Danny Levi accompanied Liv, the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Vadim Blich, who fell in battle on October 7th, on her first day of first grade at the Yitzhak Navon school in Kiryat Motzkin. Liv was joined by her mother, Ortal, her sister Maya, who is entering fifth grade at the same school, and other family members.

Lieutenant Colonel Blich, 39, a company commander in the Operations Division, was killed in combat at Kibbutz Be'eri during the Hamas attacks on October 7th. He is survived by his mother, wife, and three children.

Commissioner Levi was joined by other senior police officials, including Coastal District Commander Superintendent Yechiel Bohdana, and representatives from Blich's unit and the police's human resources department. Levi wished Liv and all Israeli students a successful, safe, and achievement-filled school year.

He also emphasized the importance of combating violence in and around educational institutions, stating, "There is no place for violence in schools and their surroundings. The Israel Police will operate throughout the school year for the safety and well-being of students and educational staff."
