Israel Restores Water Supply After Weather Disruptions
Israel's water supply is returning to normal following temporary disruptions caused by severe weather conditions that affected desalination plants. An assessment meeting, led by Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen and attended by representatives from the Water Authority and Mekorot, confirmed that two desalination plants in Sorek have resumed full operations.
Additionally, desalination plants in Palmachim and Ashdod are expected to be back online by the evening. The Ministry of Energy also addressed localized disruptions in Jerusalem neighborhoods, stating that water reservoirs should be replenished by 10:00 PM.
Minister Cohen assured the public that Israel's water economy is robust and that measures were taken to ensure a continuous supply despite the weather-related damage to the desalination facilities. He emphasized the swift action taken to restore normal service.
