Israel Vows Action After Settlers Attack Palestinian Home, Photos Show Faces

Israel's government has stated its commitment to apprehending and prosecuting Israeli settlers who violently entered a Palestinian home in the West Bank village of Qusra, throwing stones at its residents. The Prime Minister's English-speaking spokesperson released a video condemning the actions, which occurred while the family was inside the house. Despite the strong condemnation and vows of legal action, no arrests have been made to date, though three vehicles belonging to the perpetrators were confiscated.

The Israeli military initially claimed the rioters were masked, but international news agencies have circulated photographic evidence clearly showing the attackers with their faces uncovered. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the incident as "vile violence that harms Israel's standing in the world," characterizing the perpetrators as a "handful of rioters" who disrupt the lives of law-abiding settlers and impede the IDF's operations.

Sources within the security establishment revealed to N12 that the initial IDF response force, consisting of only six reservists, faced a dilemma when confronting approximately 50 settlers breaking into the home and clashing with the family. Their decision was to separate the parties rather than attempt to apprehend a few while the majority escaped. Reinforcements from the Border Police eventually arrived, and the settlers dispersed using crowd-control measures.

Security officials described the event as organized, with an estimated 70 armed settlers carrying stones and clubs who arrived with the intent to raid village homes systematically. The Palestinian residents of Qusra were reportedly present during the attack.
