Israeli Settlers Clash With IDF in Palestinian Village of Kusra, Stone-Throwing Incident Reported

On Saturday, Israeli security forces, including the IDF and Border Police, were deployed to the Palestinian village of Kusra following reports of Israeli rioters arriving in the area. According to a joint statement from the IDF spokesperson and Border Police, dozens of rioters barricaded themselves inside a Palestinian home where residents were present. The rioters reportedly threw stones at the Palestinian inhabitants, injuring a Palestinian woman.

Security forces confiscated vehicles suspected of being used by the rioters to reach the village. These vehicles, along with other evidence collected on site, were handed over to the Judea and Samaria District Police for investigation. Earlier in August, the IDF began lifting a siege imposed by settlers on two homes in Kusra, located in Area B. This action led to confrontations between dozens of settlers and the army, during which settlers dismantled fences and blocked roads. The entire area has been declared a closed military zone.

Central Command Chief Avi Blot visited the area to oversee the operation, spoke with Palestinian residents, and urged the settlers to leave and not interfere with the army’s efforts.
