Thunderstorms and Flood Risks Hit Israel's Coastal Plain Amid August Heat Relief

Sunday, August 30, will remain partly cloudy with continued local rain from northern Israel down to the northern Negev in the morning. Isolated thunderstorms may still occur in the north until midday. A significant temperature drop is forecast, with readings below seasonal averages, especially in the mountains and inland, easing the heat burden considerably.

By Monday, August 31, partial clouds will continue with possible morning drizzle along the coast. Temperatures will rise slightly but remain somewhat below seasonal averages, particularly in mountainous and inland areas.

Temperature ranges for key cities include Tel Aviv-Jaffa at 25° to 31°C, Haifa 24° to 30°C, Jerusalem 23° to 33°C, Ashdod 24° to 31°C, Beersheba 22° to 36°C, Ashkelon 26° to 28°C, Mitzpe Ramon 21° to 32°C, and Afula 23° to 36°C.
