48-Year-Old Woman Severely Bitten by Snake at Volcani Institute in Rishon Lezion
A 48-year-old woman was seriously injured after being bitten by a snake while working at the Volcani Institute in Rishon Lezion. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene to provide medical treatment and transported her to Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) with bite marks on her lower limbs. Paramedic Tehila Cohen reported that the woman was conscious upon arrival and received medication before being taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Earlier in the weekend, a toddler aged about two and a half was also bitten by a snake in her yard in Beit Shemesh. Her family quickly took her to the Terem clinic, where MDA was called to transfer her to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. The child was admitted in moderate condition.
