Artyom Dolgopyat Wins Third European Gold in Floor Exercise

Israeli gymnast Artyom Dolgopyat secured his third European Championship gold medal on Friday by winning the floor exercise final at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb. The 29-year-old athlete scored 14.466 points to claim first place, ahead of Russia's Arseni Dokhno who took silver with 14.333 points, and Britain's Harry Hepworth who earned bronze with 14.300 points. Dolgopyat qualified for the final in second place with a higher score of 14.766 points and delivered a strong performance in the final to top the podium once again.

This victory marks Dolgopyat's third European floor exercise title, following his wins in Marcin 2020 and Munich 2022. He has also been runner-up four times in 2018, 2019, 2023, and 2024. His international career includes an Olympic gold medal in Tokyo 2020, a silver medal at Paris 2024, and a World Championship gold in 2023, along with two World Championship silver medals in 2017 and 2019.

Following his latest triumph, Israeli President Isaac Herzog called Dolgopyat to congratulate him, with Gymnastics Association chairman Avi Shagai also participating in the call. Herzog praised Dolgopyat's repeated gold medal achievements and expressed pride in his accomplishments. Dolgopyat responded by thanking the president and expressing his pride in representing Israel and bringing honor to the country.
