Yosef Hadad Resigns as CEO of Arab-Israeli NGO Ahead of Joining Ofer Winter's Party

Yosef Hadad, a prominent Arab-Israeli advocacy activist, announced his resignation as CEO of the NGO "Together Arabs for Each Other" on Sunday morning. Hadad founded the organization over eight years ago with two partners to promote Israeli-Arab partnership and pride in being part of Israel, countering what he described as representatives who deepen divisions by focusing solely on Gaza, Jenin, and Ramallah. Under his leadership, the NGO grew significantly, boasting hundreds of active members, thousands of registered supporters, and tens of thousands of sympathizers.

Hadad highlighted the NGO's achievements, including international advocacy missions to the U.S. Congress and British Parliament, pro-Israel demonstrations by Arabs in front of the White House, the UN, and European capitals, and educational initiatives such as introducing Holocaust remembrance into Arab society. He emphasized the organization's volunteer nature, with no salaries or personal interests involved.

The resignation comes amid reports that Hadad is in talks to join the political party of Ofer Winter, with the party's launch expected in two days. Hadad expressed confidence in his successor, Lorina Hatib, who will take over as CEO, and affirmed that the NGO will continue to grow and lead social change within Israeli society. He described his departure as the end of a significant chapter and the start of new goals.

Hadad's departure marks a potential shift from civil society activism to formal politics, aligning with Winter's emerging political platform. The NGO's work has been notable for fostering a distinct Arab-Israeli voice advocating partnership and national pride, challenging prevailing narratives within the Arab community in Israel.
