Extreme Heatwave Hits Most of Israel with Slight Relief Expected Over Weekend
Israel is experiencing an intense heatwave with extreme heat conditions across most regions. On Friday, temperatures will be hotter than usual and dry in the mountains and inland areas, while the coastal plain will remain mild. Heat stress will intensify, reaching heavy to extreme levels in many parts of the country.
On Saturday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected, bringing some relief from the heat, but heavy to extreme heat stress will persist in most areas. Sunday will see a further modest temperature decrease, returning to seasonally normal levels and easing the heat burden further. However, on Monday, temperatures will rise slightly again, becoming somewhat above average for this time of year.
Forecasted temperatures for Friday include Jerusalem ranging from 19 to 33 degrees Celsius, Tel Aviv 26 to 32, Haifa 26 to 31, Safed 21 to 34, Katzrin 23 to 38, Tiberias 24 to 39, Nazareth 24 to 35, Afula 25 to 37, Beit She'an 27 to 41, Lod 25 to 33, Ashdod 25 to 32, Ein Gedi 29 to 40, Beersheba 24 to 34, Mitzpe Ramon 21 to 34, and Eilat 29 to 40 degrees Celsius.
