Jerusalem Bus Driver Detained for Driving Under Influence of Drugs
A 26-year-old bus driver from East Jerusalem was detained last Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs while operating a public bus in Jerusalem. Police tests revealed positive results for cocaine and cannabis. The driver was stopped during his shift and taken for questioning at a police station, where the circumstances of the incident and the suspicion of drug use while driving were thoroughly examined.
Following the investigation, the driver underwent a hearing before a police officer, after which his driving license was suspended for 30 days. Concurrently, the bus he was driving was also taken out of service and banned from use for the same 30-day period. The police continue to investigate the case and the allegations that the driver operated a public bus while impaired by drugs.
