Jerusalem Bus Driver Found Driving Under Influence of Cocaine and Cannabis
Israeli police detained a 26-year-old bus driver from East Jerusalem on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. The driver, employed by the Superbus company, was stopped during a targeted operation conducted by the Jerusalem District's National Traffic Unit detectives alongside officers from the Oz police station. A drug test revealed positive results for cocaine and cannabis use. Following the incident, the bus was immediately removed from service. After a hearing at the Oz police station, authorities decided to revoke the driver's license for 30 days and suspend the bus's operation for the same period. The police reported the event on the morning of August 26, noting that the initial stop occurred two days earlier.
