Jerusalem Bus Driver Arrested for Driving Under Influence of Cocaine and Cannabis
A 26-year-old bus driver from East Jerusalem employed by Superbus was detained this week on suspicion of driving under the influence of dangerous drugs, specifically cocaine and cannabis, police announced on Wednesday. The arrest took place during an operational activity conducted by detectives from the Jerusalem district alongside officers from the Oz police station. Following a hearing, the driver's license was suspended for 30 days, and the bus was taken out of service for the same period.
Separately, two days prior, a lawyer from the Krayot area was arrested on suspicion of possessing a large quantity of the hard drug crystal meth. This arrest followed a planned raid on his apartment. After being taken into custody, the lawyer was interrogated at the Zevulun police station and subsequently imprisoned. His detention was extended multiple times by the court as the investigation proceeded, but he was eventually released to house arrest under restrictive conditions.
