Driver for Crime Boss Arrested in Kiryat Malakhi for Drugged Driving and License Violations
On January 17, 2026, police in Kiryat Malakhi arrested the driver of a crime organization leader during a proactive operation by detectives from the local station. The 33-year-old driver, a resident of Kiryat Malakhi, was stopped after raising suspicion while driving. Authorities found that he was driving under the influence of drugs, without a valid driver's license since 2014, without mandatory insurance, and in violation of a court-imposed driving ban. A senior criminal, considered a key target for the Southern District police, was also in the vehicle.
The driver was taken in for questioning but refused to provide a urine sample for drug testing. He was investigated on multiple charges and subjected to an administrative hearing, resulting in his vehicle being impounded for 30 days. Kiryat Malakhi Police Station commander Superintendent Lior Metzrafi condemned the behavior as a blatant disregard for the law and a serious danger to public safety. He emphasized the station's commitment to removing dangerous drivers from the roads to protect the community and save lives.
The report clarified that only the driver was arrested, not the crime boss himself, who was not present in the car. This incident highlights ongoing police efforts to crack down on criminal activity and unsafe driving in the region.
