Israeli Police Detain Driver for Driving While Disqualified with Fake License
Police officers from the Nesher station arrested a man in his 40s from Ein Mahel over the weekend after discovering he was disqualified from driving for ten months. The driver was stopped while operating a luxury vehicle and presented a driver's license suspected to be forged. He claimed the police records were incorrect. Following the arrest, the Traffic Department at Nesher and Carmel District traffic examiners launched an investigation, which confirmed suspicions that the license was counterfeit.
The driver was interrogated on charges including driving while disqualified, forgery, and using a forged document, along with other offenses. After questioning, he was released under restrictive conditions, including five days of house arrest. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days and towed to a police lot.
Police stated they will continue efforts to enforce court rulings and prevent disqualified drivers from endangering road safety. Their goal is to remove such drivers from the roads to protect all road users.
