Israeli Police Arrest Driver Performing Community Service for Driving While Disqualified

On a recent Monday night, police in northern Israel's Bu'eine Nujeidat apprehended a 26-year-old local man who was caught driving despite having a court-ordered driving ban. The man was currently serving community service as an alternative to imprisonment for the same offense. The Northern District police, assisted by the traffic department and a drone unit, monitored the suspect from the air after receiving a tip-off. When the driver noticed the police presence, he attempted to evade arrest by stopping his car on the sidewalk and exiting through the passenger seat, but was quickly detained. Following a swift investigation, the police filed charges against him at the Nazareth Traffic Court and requested his detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings. The drone footage documenting the surveillance and arrest was released by the police.
