Second Largest Likud Faction Endorses Candidates Ahead of Primaries

The "My Likud" group, the second largest faction within the Likud party with over 8,000 members and closely associated with the settlement movement, has released its recommended candidate list for the upcoming party primaries. Led by Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, along with Yoni Israeli and Yaakov Weinberger, the group announced their endorsements on Sunday, one day before the primaries.

The group highlighted its past achievements, including blocking dangerous initiatives, advancing road infrastructure in the West Bank, breaking settlement freezes, establishing new communities, and overturning the Disengagement Law. Their stated goal for the primaries is to ensure a strong, ideological team in the next Knesset that will fight for settlement expansion and the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.

The recommended candidates were chosen based on their loyalty to the group's positions on the Land of Israel, joint efforts in critical struggles, and practical cooperation on the ground, rather than campaign activity. Thirteen candidates received "highest support," including Amir Ohana, Zeev Elkin, Boaz Bismuth, Miki Zohar, and Miri Regev. Four others, such as Eli Cohen and Gila Gamliel, received "significant support."

To distribute voting power effectively, "My Likud" prepared multiple personalized voting lists, each containing 12 recommended candidates, which will be sent to members by phone or coordinators. Members were urged to vote exactly according to their received list to maximize the faction's influence. Yossi Dagan emphasized, "We are choosing a team that will fight for the Land of Israel and bring sovereignty."

The primaries will determine Likud's candidate slate for the upcoming elections, with the "My Likud" faction playing a key role in shaping the party's ideological direction and representation of settlement interests.
