Likud Opens Primaries Nationwide with 140,000 Members Voting
The Likud party has opened polling stations across Israel for its primaries, where approximately 140,000 registered members will vote. The election features 124 candidates competing for positions, including 79 on the national list and 45 in regional districts. Around 80 party-run polling stations have been set up in major cities and peripheral areas, including Tel Aviv's Heichal Shlomo, Haifa, Rishon Lezion, Eilat, Ofakim, and the Binyanei HaUma convention center in Jerusalem. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is voting at the Jerusalem location. The polls will close at 10:00 PM.
