Mass Brawl at Yamit 2000 Water Park in Holon Leads to 12 Arrests and Park Closure

A large-scale fight erupted on Saturday at the Yamit 2000 water park in Holon, resulting in the arrest of 12 suspects and the temporary closure of the park. The altercation began reportedly after a dispute between a group of visitors and lifeguards, allegedly over a request to lower the music volume. During the confrontation, chairs were thrown near one of the pools, and two security guards sustained minor injuries.

Police from the Holon station and the Tel Aviv district responded to the scene, subdued the disturbance, and detained 12 individuals from the southern region for questioning. Authorities indicated that the incident had a criminal background. In response to the violence, Holon's mayor, Shai Kinan, announced new restrictions limiting park access on weekends and holidays exclusively to Holon residents. He cited recent violent events as the reason for this decision, stating that the current situation was no longer sustainable.
