Hezbollah Attacks Israeli Soldiers, IDF Strikes Hezbollah Command Post in Response
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on X that Hezbollah violated the ceasefire in Lebanon by attacking Israeli soldiers in the security zone protecting Israeli communities beyond the border. The attack severely wounded three Israeli soldiers. In retaliation, the Israel Defense Forces struck a Hezbollah terror command post responsible for ordering the attack. The statement further revealed that the IDF later learned Hezbollah had deliberately placed civilians within the targeted military compound. The Prime Minister's office accused Hezbollah of using its own civilians as human shields to falsely blame Israel for intentionally targeting civilians, which the IDF denies.
