IDF Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon After Border Incident
The Israeli military (IDF) announced Saturday that it struck Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon in response to an explosive device detonating and injuring two Israeli soldiers. The incident occurred earlier in the day when an IDF engineering vehicle encountered a Hezbollah explosive device in the security zone along the Lebanese border. The two soldiers sustained light injuries and were evacuated for medical treatment, with their families being notified.
In immediate retaliation, the IDF targeted several terror infrastructures in multiple areas across southern Lebanon. These strikes included observation posts and terror facilities from which Hezbollah operatives had been launching terror attacks against Israeli forces. The IDF stated that its forces remain deployed in the security zone in southern Lebanon in accordance with agreements and will continue to operate to neutralize threats against Israeli civilians and soldiers.
