IDF Removes Lebanese Soldiers from Security Zone for Blocking Area

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that its forces operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon identified several Lebanese army soldiers who crossed into the area and established roadblocks without prior coordination and in violation of agreements between the sides. The IDF spokesperson stated that forces acted to remove the Lebanese soldiers after they refused to withdraw, despite clarifications. Lebanon, however, claimed that the position in the area was established on the 10th of the month in coordination with the Military Coordination and Liaison Group for Lebanon (MCG4L), with the stated purpose of "escorting residents while they check their agricultural lands."
