IDF Issues Ultimatum to Lebanese Army Over Border Village
Lebanese media outlets reported friction between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Lebanese army in the area of the village of Deir Mimas, near Mount Hermon. According to the reports, the IDF seized a post recently established by the Lebanese army in the region and issued an ultimatum demanding the Lebanese forces withdraw from the village.
The IDF threatened to attack the Lebanese forces if they did not retreat, asserting that the village is located within the "Blue Line," the internationally recognized border between Lebanon and Israel. Reports from the area indicate that grenades were thrown during the incident.
