Judge Orders Removal of Netanyahu's Video from Malha Mall Visit Over Children’s Appearance

Noam Solberg, chairman of Israel's Central Elections Committee, issued an interim order demanding the removal of a video posted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showing his visit to Malha Mall in Jerusalem. The decision came after a petition claimed the video included footage of children, violating election campaign laws that prohibit using children under 15 in political propaganda except in routine activities. The video, posted two days prior, showed Netanyahu interacting and taking photos with visitors, including many children. Attorney Yaron Meiri filed the petition arguing that featuring minors in election propaganda is illegal under Section 2g of the Elections Law. Meiri also requested an immediate interim order to remove the video until a final ruling is made. Judge Solberg granted the interim order, instructing that the video be taken down from all platforms but allowing it to be reposted if the segments showing children in personal contact with Netanyahu are removed. The petition process will continue with responses expected from Netanyahu and the Likud party before a final decision is reached.
