Sun d'Or Launches Direct Winter Flights from Israel to Verona, Italy

Starting at the end of October, Israeli airline Sun d'Or will begin operating direct flights from Israel to Verona, a city in northern Italy. The new route will run twice weekly on Sundays and Thursdays, with the inaugural flight scheduled for October 25. Round-trip tickets start at $299, including carry-on and checked baggage.

Verona is an attractive winter destination due to its proximity to Lake Garda and nearby ski resorts, allowing travelers to combine urban sightseeing with nature and winter sports. The city is known for its historic architecture, lively squares, restaurants, markets, and its association with the Romeo and Juliet story. Located between Milan and Venice, Verona can also serve as a gateway for extended tours across northern Italy.

This new flight option comes amid changing direct flight availability from Israel to various European destinations. Sun d'Or plans to operate flights to 12 destinations this winter, including Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus, Batumi and Tbilisi in Georgia, Tirana in Albania, Chisinau in Moldova, Belgrade in Serbia, Krakow and Warsaw in Poland, Salzburg in Austria, Lyon in France, and now Verona. This expansion offers Israeli travelers a wider selection of short European trips, ranging from city breaks to nature and ski vacations.
