Israeli Airline Sun d'Or Adds Verona to Winter Flight Destinations

Sun d'Or, part of the El Al Group, has launched its winter flight schedule featuring 12 destinations across Europe and nearby regions, including a new route to Verona, northern Italy. Flights will commence on October 25, with round-trip Lite tickets starting at $129 to Cyprus and up to $349 to Salzburg, including carry-on and trolley luggage. Verona flights will operate twice weekly on Sundays and Thursdays, priced from $299 round-trip. Verona serves as a gateway to Lake Garda and ski resorts in the Dolomites, appealing to travelers seeking winter sports and Christmas market experiences.

Other winter destinations include Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus; Batumi and Tbilisi in Georgia; Tirana in Albania; Chisinau in Moldova; Belgrade in Serbia; Krakow and Warsaw in Poland; Salzburg in Austria; and Lyon in France. Sun d'Or aims to attract travelers interested in short trips, ski vacations, culinary experiences, and nightlife during the winter season. CEO Gal Gershon highlighted Verona as a charming city and a new addition to the winter lineup.

Meanwhile, Israir is expanding its winter schedule with a new direct route to Madrid starting October 25, offering three weekly flights from Tel Aviv on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. Round-trip fares begin at $340. Arkia has launched a 15% discount on vacation packages booked by August 13 for departures until October 4, excluding New York. Destinations include Greece, Cyprus, Montenegro, Amsterdam, Paris, London, and Thailand, with example packages such as three nights in Crete from $685 per person and stays in Batumi and Limassol starting at $535 and $489 respectively.
