Israel Issues Heat Warnings Amid Extreme Temperatures Across Regions

The Israeli Meteorological Service has issued multiple heat warnings due to heavy to extreme heat expected across most parts of the country. The forecast predicts continued above-average temperatures for the season, with dry conditions in the mountainous and inland areas, while the coastal plain will experience milder weather. The eastern regions of Israel are expected to face particularly extreme temperatures, with the heatwave persisting through Wednesday.

Specific alerts include a red warning for extreme heat from 11:00 to 22:00 in areas such as the Beit She'an Valley, Kinneret Basin, Jordan Valley, northern and southern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea region, and northern Arava. An orange warning for very heavy heat is active from 10:00 to 19:00 in southern Golan, eastern Lower Galilee, Hula Valley, northeastern Samaria, and northwestern and western Negev, extending until 23:00 in eastern Negev, Eilat Bay, and southern Arava.

A yellow warning for heavy heat is in effect from morning until evening in the coastal plain (north, center, and south), the Shephelah, Carmel, Jezreel Valley, northern and southern Samaria, western Lower Galilee, southern Negev, and the Eilat mountains. In the central mountains, Upper Galilee, parts of the Judean Desert, and the Negev mountains, the yellow warning applies from 11:00 to 18:00.

Residents are advised to remain indoors and take precautions against the intense heat expected to continue for several days.
