Extreme Heatwave Continues Across Most of Israel with Slight Cooling Expected

Israel is experiencing a persistent heatwave with extreme temperatures expected to continue across most regions despite slight cooling on Wednesday and Thursday. Today, skies will be cloudy in the morning but clear up during the day. The Jordan Valley is forecasted to reach the highest temperatures of the heatwave, around 44 degrees Celsius. Mountain areas will see heat levels up to 34 degrees, while the lowlands and southern regions will reach about 38 degrees.

Tomorrow, unusually hot conditions will persist with dry weather in the mountains and inland areas, and high humidity along the coastal plain. On Wednesday, a modest temperature drop is expected, mainly in the mountains and inland, but temperatures will remain above average. This mild cooling trend will continue into Thursday, especially inland and in the mountains, though the heat will still be above seasonal norms.

Clear skies, dry conditions in the mountains and inland, and haze along the coastal plain will persist throughout the week. Heavy to extreme heat stress will continue to affect most parts of the country during this period.
