12-Year-Old Boy Found Critically Injured After Capsizing in Jordan River

A 12-year-old boy was found in critical condition after capsizing his boat in the Jordan River. The search lasted for a prolonged period before the boy was discovered.

This incident follows a similar tragedy about two weeks ago when two 13-year-old girls from northern Israel, Hala Azzam and Iman Khair, were found dead after being swept away in the Jordan River near the Lehavot HaBashan area. Large police forces, a helicopter, the Lahava firefighting unit, and volunteer rescue teams conducted extensive searches during that event as well.

The Jordan River has seen multiple recent incidents involving missing youths, including a separate search for a missing person at the Sea of Galilee, where the individual left personal belongings on the shore before disappearing. Rescue and law enforcement agencies continue to monitor and respond to such emergencies in the region.
