Rescue Teams Conduct Extensive Search for Missing Boy in Jordan River Near Yesod HaMaala
Rescue teams including firefighters and special rescue unit members from the Northern District are conducting extensive searches in the Jordan River near Yesod HaMaala following reports of a missing boy. The incident began when a 12-year-old boy was on a kayak that capsized, and contact with him was subsequently lost. The emergency call was received by the fire and rescue service at hotline 102.
Firefighters are combing the river and surrounding areas alongside Israeli police and other agencies. Magen David Adom personnel at the scene reported that the kayak was found empty at the end of the route, prompting ongoing search efforts for the boy.
