Search Underway in Jordan River for Boy Missing After Canoe Capsizes
Rescue teams are currently conducting extensive searches in the Jordan River near Yesod HaMa'ala for a boy who disappeared after his canoe capsized. The fire and rescue services received a report via emergency number 102 indicating that the boy overturned his canoe while on the river and has since lost contact. Firefighters, rescue unit fighters from the Northern District, Israeli police forces, and additional rescue agencies have been deployed to the scene. They are conducting wide-ranging searches both along the riverbanks and in the water. The search operation is ongoing at this time.
