Israeli Police Arrest Two Suspects for Shooting at Power Pole and Threatening Repair Workers in Tel Sheva

Israeli police have launched an investigation after a power pole in the town of Tel Sheva was damaged by gunfire. Workers from the Israel Electric Corporation who arrived to fix the damage and restore electricity were threatened by suspects at the scene, forcing them to abandon their repair efforts. Two suspects, residents of Tel Sheva in their 20s and 30s, were arrested within hours of the incident and taken for questioning at the Ayarot police station. The police operation involved officers from the Ayarot station, the Tel Sheva municipal policing unit, the Special Patrol Unit (SAHAR), and Border Police fighters. Ayarot police commander Superintendent Yehav Siman condemned the attack on public infrastructure and threats against public workers, calling it a "red line" and promising swift and decisive action against those who disrupt essential services or threaten public safety. The investigation into the suspects continues.
