Electric Company Workers Threatened by Armed Masked Men While Repairing Transformer in West Bank Town

Electric company workers attempting to fix a damaged transformer in the West Bank town of Tel Sheva were forced to halt repairs after encountering armed masked men who threatened their safety. The transformer was shot at around 2:45 a.m. on August 5, causing damage to the electrical network in the area. When crews arrived later that evening to replace the transformer, they could not proceed due to the lack of police escort and necessary traffic arrangements.

The workers returned the following morning to continue repairs but were confronted by masked individuals carrying long firearms at the entrance to the neighborhood. Due to concerns for the workers' lives, the electric company stopped all repair efforts. The company condemned any threats or violence against its employees and filed a complaint with the police. As of the report, the electrical fault remains unresolved.
