Lawyer Arrested for Forging Alibi and Coercing False Testimonies in Terror Case in Ramla

A lawyer from central Israel was arrested on suspicion of fabricating an alibi for a terror suspect from Ramla, who faces serious security charges including shooting, arson, and weapons manufacturing. The investigation, conducted by the Central District Police, began after the lawyer submitted evidence claiming to prove her client's innocence by showing he was elsewhere during the offenses. However, the authenticity and timing of this evidence raised police suspicions.

Authorities allege that the lawyer, together with the suspect's family members, attempted to bribe and threaten several minors and their parents to provide false testimonies in court to create a fictitious alibi. When some refused, they reportedly faced severe pressure and intimidation.

The covert investigation escalated to a public phase when police raided the lawyer's home and arrested her along with four other family members of the suspect, all residents of Ramla. The suspects are expected to be brought before the Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion for a remand hearing. The case highlights serious allegations of corruption and witness tampering in a high-profile terror trial.
