Israeli Lawyer Arrested for Forging Documents to Enable Driving During License Suspensions

Israeli police recently conducted a covert investigation into a lawyer in his 60s from Tira, who specializes in traffic law. The lawyer is suspected of forging numerous documents for drivers whose licenses had been revoked, creating false representations to courts, police, and the licensing authority. These documents falsely indicated that the drivers had surrendered their licenses and served their suspension periods, while in reality, they continued to drive during the bans.

This morning, police moved to the investigation's open phase by arresting the suspect at his home and conducting searches at both his residence and office to gather evidence. The Central District's fraud unit plans to present the suspect in court later today, requesting an extension of his detention to continue the investigation.
