Today will be mostly clear with a slight temperature drop, especially in the mountains and inland areas, though it will still be hotter than usual for this time of year. Coastal plains will enjoy milder conditions.

On Wednesday, August 5, after morning clouds clear, the weather will be fair with a further slight temperature decrease, mainly in the mountains and inland, but temperatures will remain somewhat above normal. Heavy to extreme heat burdens are still expected nationwide.

Thursday, August 6, will see a similar pattern of clearing morning clouds and fair weather, with temperatures dropping slightly again, returning to seasonal norms in the mountains and inland. Heat stress will ease noticeably.

By Friday, August 7, conditions will be partly cloudy to clear with stable temperatures typical for the season across most areas.
