Gradual Relief from Heatwave Expected in Israel by Weekend

Israel continues to experience a heatwave that began at the start of August, but temperatures are set to gradually decline over the coming days. On Tuesday and Wednesday, slight cooling will be felt mainly in mountainous and inland areas, though temperatures will remain above seasonal averages, with humidity persisting along the coastal plain. Despite this, most parts of the country will still endure heavy to extreme heat stress, especially during midday hours.

A more noticeable change is forecast for Thursday, when morning clouds will clear and temperatures will drop closer to the long-term average for this time of year. This temperature decrease will bring significant relief from the intense heat across Israel. The weekend is expected to offer more comfortable weather, suitable for outdoor activities, with partly cloudy to clear skies on Friday and temperatures remaining typical for the season.
