Extreme Heat Warnings Continue Across Israel Despite Slight Temperature Drop

Israel is experiencing persistent heavy to extreme heat conditions across the country despite a slight decrease in temperatures on Monday. The Israel Meteorological Service issued red heat warnings for the Beit She'an Valley, the Jordan Valley, northern and southern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea area, and the Arava region. Orange warnings were also declared for southern Golan, eastern Lower Galilee, Hula Valley, Kinneret Basin, northeastern Negev, eastern Negev, southern Negev, and the Eilat Mountains.

From midday, strong winds are expected mainly in the mountainous and inland areas. Nighttime conditions will be clear to partly cloudy. On Tuesday, temperatures will continue to drop slightly, especially in the mountains and inland, but will remain above seasonal averages with heavy to extreme heat persisting in most areas. Wednesday will see further slight cooling after morning clouds clear, yet heat levels will still exceed typical seasonal norms with ongoing heavy to extreme heat warnings.

Specific temperature forecasts for Monday include highs of 33°C in Jerusalem, 33°C in Tel Aviv, 37°C in Beersheba, 32°C in Haifa, 40°C in Tiberias, 35°C in Safed, and 42°C in Eilat. Coastal areas will experience more moderate and pleasant temperatures compared to the interior and mountainous regions. The heatwave is expected to continue affecting daily life and outdoor activities across Israel in the coming days.
