Hapoel Tel Aviv Negotiates to Sign Red Star Belgrade Winger Douglas Aveso
Hapoel Tel Aviv is currently negotiating to acquire Douglas Aveso, a 20-year-old right winger from Red Star Belgrade, as a potential replacement for Loizos Loizou. The clubs are in active talks, with Aveso's foreign agent en route to Serbia to facilitate the transfer. Aveso is eager to join Hapoel Tel Aviv, and the negotiations are ongoing.
Douglas Aveso was signed by Red Star Belgrade in January for 2.5 million euros and is currently valued at approximately 4.5 million euros according to Transfermarkt. Earlier this year, he nearly transferred to Viktoria Plzen for 3.3 million euros, but the move fell through due to failed medical tests. Since joining Red Star, Aveso has scored two goals and provided one assist. Previously, he played for Serbian club Radnik.
The transfer talks come after Loizos Loizou was sold last summer in the opposite direction, and Hapoel Tel Aviv is expected to continue discussions with Red Star to finalize the deal.
