Known Criminal Killed in Shooting in Netivot, Another Injured

A man in his 40s, known to the police, was fatally shot in Netivot on Saturday night. Emergency medical teams performed resuscitation efforts at the scene but declared him dead due to severe penetrating injuries. During searches in the area, a second man, aged 29, was found conscious with a minor injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Magen David Adom paramedic Uriel Cohen described the victim as initially unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and noted that despite advanced resuscitation and bleeding control, the injuries were fatal. Police launched an investigation immediately after receiving the report, with Netivot station forces collecting evidence and conducting searches to locate suspects. Initial suspicions indicate the incident has a criminal background.
