Man in His 40s Fatally Shot in Netivot, Another Young Man Slightly Injured
On Saturday evening in Netivot, a man approximately 40 years old was fatally shot, while a 29-year-old man was lightly injured in the same incident. The shooting was reported at 21:37 to Magen David Adom's emergency center in the Negev region. Paramedics arrived at the scene and attempted resuscitation on the older victim, but he was pronounced dead due to severe penetrating injuries. The younger victim was found conscious with injuries and was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Senior paramedic Uriel Cohen described the scene, noting the injured man was initially unconscious and without vital signs, but after advanced medical intervention, the fatal victim's death was confirmed. The second man was located during searches of nearby buildings and received initial treatment before hospital transfer.
United Hatzalah also confirmed the fatality and the assistance provided to the lightly injured man. The police have launched an investigation, collecting evidence and conducting searches to identify suspects. Authorities suspect the shooting was related to criminal activity.
