Man in His 40s Arrested for Suspected Involvement in Netivot Murder Shooting

Israeli police arrested a man in his 40s from Netivot on suspicion of involvement in a fatal shooting that occurred in the city. The incident took place overnight between Saturday and Sunday, resulting in two men in their 20s and 30s being shot. One victim was lightly injured, while the other was critically wounded and pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

The arrest was made by officers from the Netivot police station in cooperation with the Central Unit of the Negev district following investigative and intelligence operations. The Negev district commander, Chief Superintendent Haim Bublil, assigned the Central Unit of the Negev district to lead the murder investigation.

Police have collected evidence and conducted intelligence activities at the scene. The suspect is expected to be brought before the Beersheba Magistrate's Court, where authorities will request an extension of his detention. Dramatic footage from the scene shows the shooter emerging from an alley and opening fire. The investigation is ongoing.
