Video Captures Gangster Murder in Netivot Alley, Police Investigate
A murder of a criminal suspect was recorded on camera Saturday night in Netivot, southern Israel. The footage shows a young man wearing a baseball cap approaching two men in an alley, exchanging words, then pulling out a gun and shooting the primary target multiple times at close range. The victim died at the scene, while the second man, aged 29, was shot in the leg and managed to flee.
The video also captures two men watching the incident and commenting on the shooter's actions, noting how he waited in the alley and brandished the weapon. The police have launched a criminal investigation and began collecting evidence and conducting searches for suspects immediately after the shooting. The emergency call was received at 21:37 by Magen David Adom (MDA) in the Negev region.
Senior paramedic Uriel Cohen from MDA's motorcycle unit described finding the wounded man unconscious and without vital signs, administering advanced resuscitation efforts, but the injuries were severe. The 29-year-old victim was later found conscious with a leg injury in nearby buildings, received initial medical treatment on site, and was transported to the hospital in stable condition. The police continue to investigate the circumstances and identify those involved in the shooting.
