Hapoel Tel Aviv Signs American Guard Eugene German for Remainder of Season

Hapoel Tel Aviv is close to finalizing its roster after announcing the signing of American guard Eugene German for the rest of the season. German joins the team's backcourt alongside Vasa Micić and Tomas Satoransky. The 28-year-old guard expressed excitement about joining the club and promised to bring energy and commitment to help the team win the championship. Hapoel's coach Dimitris Itoudis welcomed German, highlighting his scoring ability and versatility. German played four years at Northern Illinois University before starting his professional career. After a brief stint in Turkey's second division, he moved to the Greek league with Panathinaikos in 2021 and finished the season with Merkezefendi in Turkey. Besides Turkey, he has played mainly in the Chinese Basketball Association, notably with the Beijing Ducks, where he averaged 18.3 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.1 rebounds last season. Most recently, he participated in the Puerto Rico Summer League.
