Hapoel Tel Aviv Finalizes Roster with Key Signings and Potential Loans Ahead of New Season

Hapoel Tel Aviv has clarified its roster for the upcoming basketball season following the signing of Jacob Topin, announced on July 29, 2026. The team is continuing to build its squad, aiming to add several players beyond the newly signed naturalized forward who can play multiple forward positions. Point guard Eugene German is close to signing a short-term contract, possibly lasting only a few months. The team’s senior point guards remain Vasilije Micic and Tomas Satoransky, while Tyler Ennis is recovering from an injury and may be loaned out if German impresses.

Discussions are ongoing with Tamir Blatt, who is expected to sign a long-term contract soon but may be loaned out. The coaching staff is considering signing Blatt on a long contract with a loan arrangement, and it has been made clear he will likely not be part of the EuroLeague rotation if he stays. Following Jonathan Motley’s departure to Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, Hapoel Tel Aviv is also exploring adding another center. Zack LeDay may receive minutes at the center position when needed, and Tai Odiase has shown significant improvement and could play a larger role in the EuroLeague.

The current roster after these moves includes Micic, Satoransky, Ennis, and Yiftach Ziv at point guard; Antonio Blakeney, Kadin Carrington, and Bar Timor at shooting guard; Elijah Bryant, Amir Kofi, Jacob Topin, and Oz Blazer at small forward; Zack LeDay, Ish Wainright, and Tomer Ginat at power forward; and Dan Otero, Tai Odiase, and Itay Segev at center. Notably, Yiftach Ziv may leave the Israeli Basketball Premier League. The team continues to finalize its lineup as it prepares for the new season.
