Hapoel Tel Aviv and Tamir Blatt Near Long-Term Contract Agreement

After more than ten days of halted negotiations, Hapoel Tel Aviv and basketball player Tamir Blatt resumed talks on Monday aiming to finalize a long-term contract. According to Sport 5, progress has been made since the discussions paused nine days ago, and both sides are optimistic that the deal will be completed soon. Blatt had previously agreed to terms worth $1.6 million for one season, including several hundred thousand dollars in shares. However, internal disagreements within Hapoel Tel Aviv regarding Blatt's role delayed the signing. The club's management now appears convinced to proceed with the contract. Additionally, there is consideration of signing Blatt to a long-term deal with an option to loan him out, which is also under discussion. The team has informed Blatt that if he remains, he is unlikely to be part of the EuroLeague rotation initially, despite averaging 7.1 points and 5.2 assists in 19.5 minutes per game last season. The negotiations mark a significant step toward securing Blatt's future with Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
