Hapoel Tel Aviv Finalizes Roster with Jacob Topin Signing and Key Player Moves

Hapoel Tel Aviv has clarified its roster for the upcoming season following the signing of Jacob Topin, announced on July 29, 2026. The club is continuing to build its squad, aiming to add several more players beyond Topin, who can play both forward positions. Point guard Eugene German is close to signing a short-term contract, potentially lasting only a few months. The team’s senior point guards remain Vasilije Micić and Tomas Satoransky. Tyler Ennis is currently dealing with an injury, and if German impresses, Ennis might be loaned out.

Meanwhile, discussions with Tamir Blatt are progressing, with expectations of a long-term contract soon. The club is considering signing Blatt and then loaning him out, with the coaching staff indicating he would not be part of the EuroLeague rotation even if he stays. Additionally, Hapoel Tel Aviv plans to strengthen its center position after Jonathan Motley’s departure to Crvena Zvezda Belgrade. Zack Leday may receive minutes at center when needed, while Tai Odiase has shown significant improvement and could play a larger role in the EuroLeague.

The current roster after these moves includes Micić, Satoransky, Ennis, and Yiftach Ziv at point guard; Antonio Blakeney, Kadin Carrington, and Bar Timor at shooting guard; Elijah Bryant, Amir Kofi, Topin, and Oz Blazer at small forward; Zack Leday, Ish Wainright, and Tomer Ginat at power forward; and Dan Otero, Tai Odiase, and Itay Segev at center. Notably, Yiftach Ziv may leave the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
